Orbis
EFHS FTC team #5661 went into their second year with great excitement. The game required lifting rings up onto a tic-tac-toe board. The team decided on making a scissor-lift mechanism out of acrylic arms. The robot was a success, it did the required movements for the game but overall the robot was not competitive. There were issues we, as a second year team, did not consider. Mainly the speed of our robot needed to be much faster to play the game. our robot was accurate, but slow. Needless to say, we were not very successful this year, but we learned a lot. On the drive back from state competition the team decided that next year we would be a team that could contend with the more experienced team, or as we called them the "big dogs". We were going to run with the big dogs too!
