Cogo
The first FTC robot built by the club was the Cogo, Latin for "to gather."With only one kit of parts to use, the team decided to focus on one aspect of the game. They designed and built a robot that could gather as many balls as possible and drag them to the scoring zone.
This design also lent itself to the end game -- pushing a 6-pound bowling ball up a ramp and into a cut-out hole. Although our robot was small compared to the other robots, it was so successful it was dubbed "small but mighty" and won the PTC design award. A great honor for a rookie team. On the way back from that competition the discussion for the next year's robot had already started. EFHS FTC team # 5661 had begun.
